Why I decided to study Software Engineering?

Unlike most people, I loved mathematics. Since I was a critical thinker from a young age, I decided to pursue Mathematics for my bachelor’s degree.

My experience with Mathematics has always been pleasing. However, when I chose to pursue Mathematics in my bachelor’s, I realized the importance of Algorithms. I understood that to get a better grasp of my passion; I needed to learn Algorithms.

Since algorithms were the building block of complex solutions, I decided to pursue Software Engineering for advanced learning of Algorithms and Development systems. Five years ago, my financial conditions were not sufficient to support my tuition fee for software development. Therefore, with a heavy heart, I discontinued. However, my leap in faith was restored when Amazon Career Choice that offered to pay for my course and sent me to the best Software Engineering school. This is the school that I applied five years ago. I took this opportunity with utmost enthusiasm and decided to make the most out of it since I always dreamt of it!

Besides my passion, if I retro scope the reason for choosing software engineering, there are plenty of reasons to opt for it. The idea that this world was far behind before technology fascinates me. I mean, who knew that we would be able to connect people living miles away in split seconds? A few years ago, it was a far-fetched idea, but all thanks to the technology that pulled the world’s strings and joined them together. Other than that, the financial prospects are amazing in software development. We can’t escape the fact that high pay is very critical for a good living standard.

Since I love challenges, programming will make me push my limits each time. I will know that my growth is not stagnant. Instead, it’s going to be a learning curve that will broaden with passing the time.
